Shockwave Rods is located on the banks of Toledo Bend in East Texas. We are tournament bass fishermen, fishing mostly local tournaments on Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn.
We pride ourselves in building light sensitive durable custom bass rods for the tournament bass fishermen who enjoys using a quality product that is not available on the store shelves. We also welcome repairs.
We have a TRY BEFORE YOU BUY program that we developed because we recognized the fact that each individual has his unique idea of exactly what a particular "technique specific" rod should be like. So why should anyone blindly accept a manufacturers or even another persons recommendation if he has the choice of trying different models of rods for himself?
Example: let's say you are looking for your perfect Texas rig rod, Shockwave will listen to your description of that perfect rod then give you several choices to actually try on the water.
Any particular brand of quality blank is available but we predominately use ROGUE blanks because they are American made and give great value as well as being light and sensitive. We have thirty four different Rogue models that we are familiar with and they can cover anything from finesse to large swimbaits. We try to keep all models in inventory so there is no delay in production.

Most of these blanks are very versatile and it is not unusual to sell one person a particular blank for one technique and then sell the same blank to another person for an entirely different technique. Remember, the buyer is deciding from "hands on" experience.

SHIPPING: We usually use USPS Priority which we do for a flat rate of $22 including insurance.
DELIVER TIME: We pride ourselves in being very efficient. If the tournament schedule is not too heavy we can usually have your rod packaged up before your check arrives. (Unless you use PayPal of course.) We will meet the commitment we give you at the time of purchase.
COST: Since we only build rods that are strictly about catching bass we don't add "frills" to a rod, such as decorative wraps, weaves, etc. Therefore the price of our rods varies only by the cost differential of blanks. This means that our rods sell within a narrow range of $215 to $235 plus a flat shipping rate of $22.
